10 Ways You Can Make a Difference

  1. Connect with others who also want to make a difference (You can join us at http://www.meetup.com/Davis-9-12/ or by calling 801-513-1677.)

  2. Understand the Constitution and why the Founding Fathers designed it as they did. There are many books that can help you with this – including The 5000 Year Leap by Cleon Skousen.

  3. Help others to understand the Constitution. Consider hosting small discussion groups.

  4. Learn how the political process works in Utah. You can learn more about this by attending our chapter meetings.

  5. Become a delegate from your voting precinct to your party's county or state nominating convention. We will provide instruction on how you can get elected to be a delegate.

  6. Share information about candidates and legislation with others in your precinct.

  7. Help others in your precinct learn how to become involved in the political process

  8. Learn how to become a citizen lobbyist - Speak face-to-face with our state legislators about important issues before and during committee hearings and before they vote in the legislative session. We will give you more information about this in our chapter meetings.

  9. Get to know the candidates and elected officials – The Davis County 9/12 Project will host many “Meet the Candidate” events and other opportunities to get to know candidates and our elected officials.

  10. Spread the word – Tell your friends and neighbors about our group. We have information (including business cards and fliers) that you can give them. You can also direct people to our website.
